I-330
The
company was set up in 1995, by brothers David and James Malone,
as a vehicle for their free-lance work. I-330 films are generally
about ideas. Our aim is to show the beauty and emotional power of
those ideas and the people who think them.
All
I-330 films have been made by the same small team of people. They
are a labour of love and a collective vision.
If
the company has a reputation, it is for creating beautiful and abstract
images and for knowing how to use visual metaphors to make ideas
matter. Neither David nor James has ever knowingly entertained anyone.
Over
the years, the style of I-330 films has been described as disturbingly
lyrical (Time Out review of Icon Earth) as close to
poetry as television gets (Sunday Times Review of Testing
God) and good for the very soul of television itself.
(Independent review of Soul Searching) More recently we made what
one paper described as science for the acid generation
(review of Are We Alone?) Which is amusing since it was made by
middle aged blokes living in Scarborough.
